Luckily, we will not have to speculate anymore, because gurlfriend is dusting off that ‘music’ career she left for dead a few years back and trying her hand at – GET THIS – a folk album!

I do, I do. I see the light. But I’m definitely not spilling the beans just yet. It’s definitely a bit folky.Way more folky than “Pieces of Me”?
It had that feel, but I’m really going for it this time!Well, “LaLa” and “Outta My Head” were pretty major.
Well, I’m always a kooky person, so you’re not going to lose that. But for me, there’s an era of music that I miss and I wanna make that kind of music. The songs that we need to hear.

I love Ashlee Simpson and her music. She does have musical talent. There’s a reason why she sold more records then Jessica… who is said to have a “Golden Voice”. I think since that ONE SNL incident… One that everyone should let go off… It’s been YEARS everyone… people underestimate her. I don’t think she will go ALL THE WAY folk. I can’t wait to hear her stuff. I’ve been waiting for a new album from her. Let’s just hope she doesn’t go Mandy Moore’s route with her “Wild Hope” album. Lord…
Folk begins with the voice. This is going to be a fail. Maybe she can get in one of those “One Night In …” Perez line ups. She can probably sing back up for Slimy or something.

“Autotune” has become a music genre unto itself, hasn’t it? So sad.
