@moothemagiccow: Only time in human recorded history how a night time bedroom cheer from wife to her hubby somehow got promoted to become a national campaign slogan. Some bitch simply has no shame…

@Airvault: Yes, we will learn to cover up disasters like this better. Oh, I’m sorry, will we learn that we cannot prevent this disasters until we change our behaviors and oil consumption? No. No, we will not.

@Airvault: No. General public too tuned out. Oil companies too flushed with cash to buy off every single elected official in this country.

That’s okay, lets just drill some more holes in Alaska! There is no way a giant leak like this could occur in one of the last unmolested parts of the Earth, right? At least no Polar Bears would lose their lives because Todd Palin already raped them to death with his sno-musheen.

Why should anyone be surprised? Oil companies had a consistent history in downplaying & covering up environmental damages caused by their negligence. (It was no accident. It was a consistent pattern of behavior of ignoring safety regulations & skipping precautions so only a matter of time before the platform will blow up.)

There’s just no getting around how completely fucked up this is. We were already well aware of the dead zone that develops every year in the Gulf thanks to the massive amounts of fertilizers that are washed into it via the Mississippi. Now this? And we’re still talking about more drilling?
Will we learn?
