Well, this just has Tony’s written all over it!
Mike Nichols announced yesterday that he would be directing the Broadway revival of Death of a Salesman next fall, and Philip Seymour Hoffman would be stepping into the role as Willy Loman!
Although Hoffman is arguably a lot younger than Loman for the majority of the piece, Nichols doesn’t seem too deterred, and explains:
“Willy is different ages over the course of the play — young, middle-aged, old — but what matters is finding the right man to play the part. I’m thrilled to be doing this with Phil.”
We’re thrilled, too!
There’s no way that this will be anything less than spectacular!
What do U think?? Are U excited for a revival of Death of a Salesman??
