The Internet Will End in 2038

Some days, searching the Internet sucks.  Do you guys really want to see sneezing dogs and trick dice hacks?

But just as I was lamenting my fate, I came upon some good news: The Internet Will End in 30 Years!

Via ReadWriteWeb:

"A bug similar to the millennium bug…dubbed the "2038 bug," arises because Unix-based systems store the time as a signed 32-bit integer, in seconds, from midnight on January 1 1970. And the latest time that can be represented in that format, by the Posix standard, is 3:14 AM on January 19, 2038."

That's fine by me.  Screw the Internet!  30 years from now, Daniel Tosh will be an old man, and I'll finally have my own show.  My working title is Mike.0.

And if you think that sucks, you can burn in hell with the Internet!

Don't worry Al Gore has already "invented" something which will blow the internet away. He's just waiting for his global warming moneymaking juggernaut to be drydocked.

Do you REALLY think there will still be 32-bit servers in use in 2038?
